‘In the Pink’ is an original landscape painting viewed from an aerial perspective. This dynamic composition evolved from positive thoughts of travelling internationally, and the collaged inclusion of black and white stripes is representative of airport runway markers; referred to as the “piano keys” by airline pilots as they make the approach into an airport.
The tonal pink colour palette was chosen for its warmth and feeling of happiness and displays expressive mark-making throughout alluding to movement and energy. The design continues over all four profile edges, making framing unnecessary. It has cord and d-rings and is ready to hang.

My inspiration came from mixing a warm colour palette of red, orange and pink and placing them onto a cool, calm, soft grey background. The composition is an imaginative interpretation of positive, dynamic movement in life, balanced with calmness, for a happy heart. Painted in 2020

This Japanese inspired contemporary composition evolved from reminiscing on my visits to the peaceful Temple Gardens in Japan. The memory always juxtaposed with bustling urban activity beyond the temple gates. I’ve symbolically referenced these architectural structures and garden water features. The rich colour palette is of deeply toned foliage and vivid Blossoms. Painted in 2021.
