This strong composition was inspired by the many routes taken historically and currently in the search for gold. An original, bold, abstract painting in mixed media on canvas with the design continuing over all profile edges, therefore no framing is necessary.
A dynamic artwork in richly textured earth colours, in many layers of opaque and transparent artist quality acrylic paint with expressive mark-making and sgraffito throughout. The collaged components of black and white paper, are references to airport runway markers.
‘GOLD ROUTE’ can be displayed either vertically or horizontally. It is supplied with cord and D-rings for a vertical display.
The artist signature is in permanent ink on the back of the canvas only, enabling it to be displayed in any configuration.
